Beat the Summer Heat!

Updated: Jun 9, 2021

The higher the temperatures, the greater need to use the air conditioning. Better efficiency and durability of equipment are items to be observed with the arrival of summer. With the arrival of summer and the prevalence of high temperatures, the use of air conditioning becomes even more common and necessary. To deal with intense heat, the equipment is used more frequently and needs specific care to ensure the best performance, preserving health and comfort, in addition to ensuring greater energy efficiency.

The WHO (World Health Organization) recommends 75.2 degrees temperature for climate-controlled environments in any season of the year, but in order for it to be effective for what it proposes, it must be operating in accordance with quality norms and standards. The use of air conditioning systems without due care, with very cold or inadequate temperatures, is harmful both to the health of the occupants of the environments and to the useful life of the equipment, as it can generate overloads and excess consumption of electricity.

To specialists in the air conditioning area, the arrival of the hottest season of the year is an opportunity for property owners to perform maintenance and update services for their HVAC systems, as a factor to ensure environments with good air quality, increase productivity and ensure the well-being of the occupants of these environments. Good return on investment is assured.

The use of air conditioning over the years has ceased to be a luxury item as it is directly linked to quality of life, as thermal comfort is necessary in the daily lives of human beings. Each individual breathes around 450 liters of air per hour, 10,000 liters per day and spends around 80% of their day indoors. HVAC systems are vital for the well-being of human beings, in uses ranging from the manufacture and conservation of medicines, food, hospitals, data centers, shopping malls, industries, airports, homes, among many other types of circulation environments in the human mass.

In practice, a well-designed and dimensioned air conditioning system, correctly installed, with operation and maintenance carried out periodically, means adequate energy consumption and a climate-controlled environment with temperature, humidity, filtration, air renewal , speed control and uniform air distribution in the environment, factors that increase productivity, purify the air you breathe, present a feeling of well-being, providing a better quality of life, in addition to a quiet environment without external noise.
